Dr. Joe Vomvas received his Bachelor of Physical Education and Health degree with High Honors from the University of Toronto before continuing his education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto where he graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic.

To enhance his chiropractic education and maintain knowledge consistent with the most current concepts and research advances, Dr. Vomvas has and continues to participate in on-going post-graduate seminars and Continuing Education opportunities in Active Release Techniques, Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinical Acupuncture, a Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator through Metriks Education and he is also a Certified Kinesio Tape Provider. A lifetime athlete and strength trainer, Dr. Vomvas is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Dr. Vomvas is an active member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the Ontario Chiropractic Association, the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, the Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association and the Acupuncture Council of Ontario.

Dr. Vomvas treats a wide range of patients from students to high power executives with all sorts of different problems. His goal as always is to provide you with the best, most current, evidenced based approach and treatment and will always provide you with the tools and education to help you strengthen, stretch and prevent these problems from aggravating you again in the future.

Dr. Vomvas has worked with recreational, elite amateur and pro athletes from many sports including athletes from the CFL, OHL, AHL, and many MMA athletes from various professional organizations including the IFL, APEX, UGC, and W1MMA. He has also had the opportunity to treat many of the talented professional actors and dancers from the performing arts community.

Emil graduated from Sutherland-Chan School & Teaching Clinic in 2010 and has been enjoying the profession ever since. He is experienced in deep tissue massage, joint mobilization, myofascial release and trigger point work. He finds these skills effective in the treatment of injury, preventative care or just for relaxation.

Emil is looking forward to providing you with a convenient service and excellent massage treatments.

Emil provides 30 minute, 60 minute, and 90 minute treatments. Treatments are based on a client’s health history and assessment, and adjusted to their needs.

Johanna, aka JoJo, is excited to be a part of the Modus team. She is a graduate of York University's Kinesiology program and Sutherland-Chan's Massage Therapy Program. Ever passionate about health, athletics and performance, she has spent the vast majority of her career in a clinical/health-care setting treating patients of all ages with various ailments that include motor vehicle accidents, surgical rehabilitation, athletic/work-place injuries and, of course, stress.

A competitive athlete herself (JoJo plays ultimate frisbee and has represented Toronto at the national level), she strives to get all her clients pain-free and able to continue pursuing their own life activities.

Jennifer Sebu PhysiotherapistJennifer Sebu


Jennifer Sebu completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at McGill University prior to completing her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen's University. Throughout her studies, Jennifer took a keen interest in neurology and rehabilitation while gaining practical experience in a variety of clinical settings.

Jennifer is now an active member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and is dedicated to making a positive impact within the profession. Jennifer has recently been certified to perform acupuncture/dry needling, and will be taking advanced courses in this area. She plans to pursue additional certification in functional movement analysis, soft tissue release and athletic taping.

Jennifer's main priority is to achieve her patients' goals and use current evidence based approaches to deliver high-quality individualized patient care.

Jennifer is originally from Toronto, and is happy to be back in the community where she grew up.

Filippo Perzia

Registered Massage Therapist

Filippo Perzia is a Registered Massage Therapist that attended the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy from August 2003 to June 2005. He thoroughly enjoyed the two years at the college and has been practicing since October 2005.

In Filippo’s two years, he completed the required 200 hours of clinic training that included both massage and hydrotherapy, and Filippo voluntarily completed over 50 of sport outreach dealing with athletes in such sports as volleyball, cycling and dragon boat racing.

Filippo has worked on and has successfully treated aliments such as chronic back, neck and shoulder soreness, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff injuries such as frozen shoulder and elbow tendonitis. Filippo’s style is that of a ‘treatment therapist’ meaning identify the area of concern and treat safe and effectively, with the help of the client doing the required exercises, stretches and appropriate hydrotherapy.

Filippo is a sport focused therapist not exclusively but he does excel in treating clients that lead an active lifestyle or playing organized sport such as competitive cycling, hockey, baseball, martial arts, and skiing. Filippo brings a style of massage therapy that is professional, methodical, and co-operative with his clients.
